About this event
Less than 100 miles from Chicago, Starved Rock State Park, opened to the public in 1939, offers beautiful hikes of varying lengths through 13 miles of dramatic canyons, bluffs, and waterfalls. Wildlife is abundant, as are bald eagles who nest throughout the park. Fishing on the scenic Illinois River is also available for anglers, as are historic Trolley ours of the area.
The historic and rustic Lodge is full- service offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in their large dining hall. The Sunday brunch is outstanding! Food and cocktails are also available from the Back Door Lounge, and outdoor lunches can be ordered on the Veranda, weather permitting. For snacks, ice cream, wine, etc. the Cafe can serve as a takeout or to eat in their limited seating area.
All rooms have free wifi and amenities including a mini-fridge, microwave, free coffee-maker. The lodge’s indoor pool is open all day for guests.
This a self-pay weekend. Each participant should register on the Club’s website, then call the Starved Rock Lodge Reservations office, 815-667-4211, to book your room. Eight rooms are being held until September 15, 2025, under the name COURSON. The lodging cost is $185 per nite, per room (not per person). All meals and activities will be the responsibility of each participant.
We have six double rooms with two full beds and two single rooms with one full bed have been reserved. Please be sure to book your room no later than September 15, 2025. The first night is charged when you register with the Lodge. If you must cancel, the Lodge will not charge you for the second night if you cancel by 10PM CDT on Tuesday, September 23.
