LSSC Volunteers at the Greater Chicago Food Depository - December 1 and December 8, 2022

Talk about helping hands! LSSC members lent theirs, twice, in December at Greater Chicago Food Depository (GCFD). We packed oranges, boxed onions, tossed a few rotten potatoes and bagged carrots and myriad other items with dozens of volunteers. Smooth moves evolved too. The sound system in the warehouse provided Motown, Springsteen, Rolling Stones, hip hop and more. 

The GCFD supplies food to over 750 pantries and shelter kitchens in Cook County. Hats off and thanks to Monica Courson, Linda Bazarian, Marty Monaghan, Richard and Lucyna Kanaszyc, Dina Petrakis, Kathy Kirby and Gail Stoffregen.
