Cancellation Policy:
Cancellation Procedures
The confirmation e-mail states the cancellation policy for that event. Unless otherwise stated in the announcement and the confirmation letter, confirmed reservations can be cancelled at no penalty until 21 days after opening date. Subsequent cancellations will be charged up to the full trip price, as determined by the appropriate trip or activity director, depending on the loss incurred by LSSC. The minimum cancellation penalty will be $20 for weekend trips and $30 for major trips. The minimum cancellation penalty will be $10 for one-day trips, events or activities. No shows will be charged up to the full trip or event price, as determined by the appropriate trip or activity director, depending on the loss incurred by LSSC.

Contingencies
LSSC will not be liable for cancellation/delay of air or ground transportation due to strikes, labor disputes, weather, government actions, or other cause beyond its control. LSSC reserves the right to change mode of transportation or schedules, and participant hereby releases any claims against LSSC regarding cancellation/schedule change.

Trip is Full! Get on the Waitlist, today!

Fly to El Paso TX and enjoy the city for 2 days, with visits to Artists and Farmers Market, Museum of Art and hiking in the Franklin Mountains and Hueco Tanks State Park, home to significant Native American pictographs. Day 3 drive to Guadalupe Mountains and hike half a day before reaching Carlsbad, NM. Head back to Guadalupe Mountains during day 4, then to the caverns on day 5 or to Roswell NM for UFO sightings museum. Day 6 drive to Amarillo where we will hike or horseback ride the Palo Duro Canyon (2nd largest in US after Grand Canyon) for 2 days and visit Canyon TX. Hiking, horseback rides, birding, dark skies – all available on this trip, along with great food and prickly pear margaritas!

Activities include hiking, horseback rides, birding (spring migration), city visits to markets, museums, maybe a fiesta!  A detailed itinerary will be available here soon. 

What IS Included in the registration fee: 

It includes double occupancy in hotels including breakfast, rental of 3 Dodge Caravans (5 persons to a vehicle) and 1 SUV (4 to a vehicle) with gas and insurance, wine/cheese/margaritas party.It also includes fees for guides in Carlsbad Caverns and Hueco Tanks. 

Note: Bring your National Parks card for entry into national parks if you have one.


What IS NOT Included in the registration fee: 

It does not include airfare, I suggest early flights from Chicago – Southwest, American, United approximately $400-$450 to arrive before Noon in El Paso and return from Amarillo. The registration fee does not include lunches and dinners as well as some park fees.


COVID-19 Requirements: In accordance with the new LSSC COVID-19 Overnight Trip Vaccination policy, full vaccination is required and masks should be worn in indoor and crowded outdoor venues.

Regular Package (Land-only, no airfare): 
    Members: $1,100.

Single Supplement Option:
    Members: $581.

Payment Schedule: Payment in due as follows:
