Water Flicks at Navy Pier—Stranger Than Fiction




Come join us for the free Navy Pier Water Flicks movie “Stranger Than Fiction” on Thurs., Aug.12, 2021 at the Lake Stage in Polk Bros Park, which is located at the southwest corner of the outdoor area in front of the entrance to Navy Pier.  The link to the event with a map is in the following link: navypier.org/events-and-public-programs/listing/water-flicks-stranger-than-fiction.   Bring your own food and beverages, chair or blanket and watch the movie outdoors by the lake.

The movie is presented by The Chicago International Film Festival.  It was released in 2006 starring Will Ferrell as an IRS auditor who hears an author’s (Emma Thompson) voice in his head and discovers he is the ill-fated protagonist of her latest work.  While a book-company employee (Queen Latifah) tries to cure the author’s writer’s block, the auditor and a professor (Dustin Hoffman) set out the find the woman and make her change her story.
