Trip Cancelled! Due to peaking COVID rates and concern for the safety of our members, particularly during trip logistics such as travel, lodging, and dining, the board has concluded that we need to cancel our Frisco Trip. Full refunds will be issued to people registered for this trip by the end of January.

No matter what kind of outdoor winter sports you enjoy, you can find it with a quick, easy, and free
http://summitstage.com/ bus ride from our lodging in downtown Frisco, CO. Breckenridge Ski Resort is 35 min, Copper Ski Resort is 25 min, Keystone Ski Resort is 46 min, Vail via http://ridebustang.com/ 45 min (fare required), and Arapahoe Basin is 70 min.

For cross-country skiers and snowshoers, Frisco Nordic Center http://frisconordic.com/ is 10 min. and Breckenridge Nordic Center https://breckenridgenordic.com/ is 49 min. Both Nordic centers offer excellent, easy to challenging daily groomed striding and skate skiing, as well as large lodges stocked with rentals, hot food, and more.

Snowshoeing also ranges from easy to challenging treks. Frisco Adventure Park (10 min.) also offers a six-lane ¼ mi snow tubing hill https://www.townoffrisco.com/things-to-do/frisco-adventure-park/tubing/ and horse-drawn dinner/sleigh rides https://dinnersleighrides.com/colorado-sleigh-rides/horse-drawn-sleigh-rides-breckenridge/.

Main Street Frisco offers twenty four-star and higher restaurants along with scores of art, craft, ski rental, clothing, and gift shops, all within easy walking distance of our lodging. More restaurants, stores and groceries are accessible via the free bus service. The buses run late into the evening, so there are numerous Breckenridge shops and restaurants to enjoy too.

We’ll all join for a welcome wine & cheese informational party Sunday evening, then you can choose to join the volunteer evening dinner leaders or do your own thing on other evenings. Continental breakfast is included with our lodging, but there are several close and excellent breakfast restaurants and bakeries within a block or two.

Frisco is at 9100’, so less aerobic activities are suggested for the first day or two.

This is a plan your own travel trip. Several Chicago air carriers have direct flights landing between 12:15 PM and 1:25 PM at Denver International Airport on Jan 30th and similarly departing between 1:15 PM and 2:35 PM on Feb. 5th. Accordingly, we plan to have two shuttle buses leaving Denver airport by 2:15 PM on the 30th and leaving the Snowshoe Motel about 9:15 AM on the 5th. This will accommodate Feb 5th departure times of 1:15 PM or later.  The shuttle service allows 2 large bags, 1 carry-on, and 1 Ski/Snowboard bag per person.

Departure Date: January 30, 2022
Return Date: February 5, 2022
