Bike WI—Cedarburg and the Ozaukee Interurban Trail

Cedarburg is located just 20 miles north of Milwaukee, situated on the beautiful Cedar Creek. Consistently ranked as a favorite small-town getaway, visitors are charmed by the delightful mix of unique shops, gracious inns, cozy cafes, art galleries and museums, many housed in meticulously maintained historic buildings, and all within walking distance of the compact town center.

We’ll gather for conversation, refreshments and weekend orientation at the Rebellion Brewing Company creek-side patio bar at around 5:00 pm on Friday evening. (http://rebellionbrewingusa.com/) Dinner options abound in Cedarburg. Small groups will make their own dinner plans.

Saturday, Day One: The Ozaukee Interurban is a 30-mile paved trail that spans the entire length of Ozaukee County. The majority of the trail is off-road and perfect for all levels of riders. The Trail is located between Milwaukee County's Oak Leaf Trail and Sheboygan's Plank Road Trail, and east of the Eisenbahn State Trail in Washington County.

The Trail connects the Ozaukee communities of Mequon, Thiensville, Cedarburg, Grafton, Port Washington and Belgium. It runs along woodlands, wetlands, farmlands and waterways, including the Milwaukee River, Lake Michigan and the Lake Michigan National Marine Sanctuary, and provides easy access to Ozaukee County's walkable downtowns. While primarily used for outdoor recreation, the Trail is also used as a commuter route for employment, businesses, industry and commerce.

Sunday, Day two: Sunday's road ride will include the Cedarburg Covered Bridge, originally known as the "Red Bridge", located 3 miles north of the City of Cedarburg. More than 40 covered bridges once dotted the Wisconsin countryside.

A complete weekend itinerary will be shared with registrants approximately 1 week prior to the trip.

If you choose to call the hotel to make your reservation, please follow these instructions: “If you wish to call the hotel, you need to dial (262) 474-1000 and when the recording comes on, you need to choose option 0 (zero) to speak directly to a hotel team member. DO NOT choose option 1 for reservations because that will transfer them to Hilton's reservation central. Please avoid this. Also, when calling, please mention the Lakeshore Ski & Sports Club block so that they get placed into the correct block and at the correct rate.”
